We like a drink - what we also like is to sit at a bar and talk to locals or other visitors. Finding a friendly, quirky bar with the right drink combination is a memory in the making
The second visit to Bergamo we were only there one night and arriving late but we stayed close to xxx so that we would be able to enjoy a drink before bed. It did not disappoint and Gabrielle remembered us too!
xxx pub in Bergamo was one of those places. From the outside it appeared small, warm, cosy and popular.
The bar was the centre of the room, with small tables scattered around. From the moment we walked in it was destined to become one of our favourites. It had the feel of a place that had been there for ever - the essence of Bergamo.
The third time we planned to stay one night in Bergamo at the end of our travels and we were looking forward to an evening with Gabrielle. Imagine our shock and disappointment to find that the pub had gone and it had been replaced with a jam shop.
A timely reminder that things never stay the same, enjoy the moment as you may never have it again. Where ever you are Gabrielle we thank you for the memories
The first time we enjoyed beers and cocktails over two nights whilst chatting to different people at the bar and the bartender Gabrielle.
